The various gameplay types in Abobo’s Big Adventure are intentionally presented to take advantage of the specific moments they are emulating from various classic games. In addition to providing many different styles of play, this also allows the game to A) take advantage of the similarities in mechanics that many classic games had, and B) only show snapshots of the different mechanics, without having to heavily alter or polish them in comparison to everything else.
