I know this lifestyle isn’t for the faint of heart or whatever, but we’re having a pretty good time
Pet adventures:
There have been several robot pets in our lives - all of them vacuums. Sadly, it’s the dumb pet. Gets stuck, regurgitates often, gets lost (under bookshelves, bed, tables) and once trashed the bathroom. Our newest robot has more brains than any before - ie doesn’t try to escape to the backyard to clean the deck.
But this week it one upped any others. We’re out of the house, having loosed the robot pet on the bedrooms and living room to have a tasty dusty snack … when its progress on its tracker (app) shows as offline. Hmmm.
Check whether it’s still responding to our HomeKit hub …. Home hub is offline and unavailable. All smart devices are “updating…” meaning no WiFi. (All bulbs in our house are smart bulbs attached to lights/fixtures with ‘real’ off switches - lets us control lighting in weird corners and grants LOTS of accessibility)
It’s hi-summer so there is a chance the power has gone out due to hi-draw in our area or a poor squirrel that got fried on a power line. It’s happened before. But our electricity company shows no outages in our area.
Upon returning home hubby “found” the robot pet … it had unplugged the modem/internet. Omg. Silly pet.
When a park visit turns into an epic journey.
Nothing is funny then watching a puppy try and pick up both his ball AND his rope toy at the same time, before finally picking one.
It's usually the rope toy, lol.

I just finished treating my new betta for fin rot. When I’d bought him at the pet store I thought the fin rot was just his coloration. Now after the treatment my betta look completely different and he has lost so much of his fins :( But he’s still one dapper lil fish and splays his fins like a regal lil crowntail that he is.
