idiot forgot how to walk. shame her now
guess who's gotten her adult colouration and shape in the last few days! she must be closer to four months old than i thought. just two days ago she was stripey and brown
another closeup of the newly named Laundry! (i found her in da laundry) her stripe is much more red but it's hard to take good pics of such a little thing lol
she should be about 3 months old as she's pretty big for a juvenile but still doesn't have her adult colours so i SHOULD have a good 8-9 months with her if all goes right :)
you WILL observe laundry with me. she's been doing some shit that isn't recognised as redback behaviour currently and it's awesome. she's made a hidey hole and moved ground cover to put on top of her web to make almost a tent out of the ground. can't get a good pic currently but here's her vs when i got her :)
new jar for my pet redback spider named Laundry with said spider being circled for convenient viewing! with an iceplant in the back and plenty of leaves, red soil, rocks, and twigs to build a web with! (she ignored all this and made her web on the lid.)
it looks quite dry as it is currently dry in her jar! redbacks make webs in areas ranging from ports to sclerophyll forests to deserts if necessary, she'll get a misting once a week at most with a very occasional proper water for her succulent plant to thrive :)

your spider is very cool!! love spiders :D
ngā mihi e hoa! have a recent pic of laundry for your ask:
