Currently - if your pet were to become lost, there is no way for any shelter or veterinary hospital to find your information. You must register your pet's microchip with a new company.

You can call [ your vet's office ] to find out the chip number and if it is a STL chip.

Pet microchips are important. They can help reunite lost pets with their humans. If you live in Australia or the USA, get your chips checked, and if the chips are on a registry that has shut down, re-register your pet.
