THE PET PAGES WEBRING!

This isn't a NORMAL webring! This ring ONLY takes you to members pets profile pages! Pets only, not homepages! That means each person can have multiple entries in the ring if they make profiles for say, all 8 of their cats! (I'm also very lenient on what qualifies as a pet so long as it's SFW)

Finished designing Snooze's profile + drawing his art (top with the little fence and everything).

For the art:

I wanted to use more of the paper texture pack I bought years ago. Lots of good textures in it, but just always stick to the same few.

I really enjoyed using the colored construction papers. They were bright and beautiful.

For the fluff, I chose a texture that had visual “hairs” in it.

I feel like the angles of the eyes make Snooze seem more wolfish than dog, but IDK. I think the blushies help.

Then I drew over everything with a brush. It turned out better than I expected for a 3-4 hour drawing TBH.

For the profile:

I’ve really come to like adding simple patterns to add “texture” to my profiles, so I included thin pink/blue grid lines at the bottom of the main box. Unfortunately, it was a major pain to size the smaller boxes exactly to line up with the grids. I gotta plan this out better in the future…

I didn’t include a before pic, because it was too similar to the final. But! Coding went by so much faster, because I could just copy the x, y placements + height/width over. I don’t know why it took me this long to figure it out…

I didn’t check this profile on mobile, again! So, the nomination link and credit box is off center. God. So annoying how finnicky coding is. I don’t even know if this is a mobile problem or browser problem or both.

Say hello to Bruce! He’s big into cosplay! (His favorite color is grey.) 

Bruce is a professional background extra that comes with his own human. He’s looking for that special someone to share his interests: ski-ball, landscape painting, and sniffing Mark Ruffalo.

Happy Birthday, Pete! Pete is a Shingleback Skink native to Australia. He’s heavily armored, can be described as ‘sleepy’, he mates for life, and he in no way reminds me of anyone I know.

Say hello, Clarice! 

Clarice is a Chevrotain. (Yes, they’re real animals.) The tiniest hoofed beast in all the land, Clarice is comfortable going it alone. She has her Halloween costume picked out already. 

Likes: The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Seedless grapes, Swimming to avoid predators

Dislikes: Vampire jokes (It’s the canines, she can’t help it), Toffee, Predators

Mamba profile redesign. Left is final, right is mock-up.

Went for a simple design with a narrow column. Downside is, the story looks reaaaally long. I'm feeling too lazy to add anything more, so I might just cut the extra parts of her story or move them into separate boxes.

Since the snake photo I used has yellow eyes, I edited Mamba's overlay to have yellow eyes too.
