I feel kind of bad for the spiders my cat kills. She eats them alive. She doesn’t even bother to squish them first she just noms them down. Poor spiders.

We searched long and hard for that tag shape several years ago, aiming for a very "scooby doo" tag shape.
He also sports a poppy charity tag that came with a matching keyring.
Small Business Saturday - But on Sunday
So I meant to do this yesterday, but in the spirit of the holiday season, I’m going to link you guys to a few of my favorite small businesses in case you’re looking for the perfect holiday gift. Many places are doing sales currently, and will continue them for the next few days - so take a look! And even if they aren’t running sales, consider supporting them ... this year has been really difficult for a lot of people financially, and these people depend on the sales from their products to survive. If you have ANY stores to add to this, please let me know and I’ll make edits to the post based on your suggestions! I know my reach on here is relatively small, but exposure helps.
1. Poor Sparrow
One of my college roommates has been creating and selling gorgeous vintage jewelry for the past decade. She sources deadstock items and vintage components for all of her pieces, and then hand-assembles them.
Her pieces are really fairly priced, well made and beautiful. She’s currently got a sale going on (30% off + free shipping on any amount) - and I believe it ends tomorrow night (11/30/2020).
I just ordered this from her, and I cannot wait to get it!
2. Harris Laser Works
@the-blind-assassin-12 and her husband opened up this shop ( @harrislaserworks ) for laser engraving, and not only is their work incredible, they’re open to personalization, customization and pretty much any idea is fair game.

Storage boxes
Wall art
I’ve only purchased wood and acrylic pieces, but I am unbelievably happy with the quality, the turnaround time, and Alyssa’s communication. Examples of the pieces I’ve bought:
Neptune’s portrait
Earrings:
They’re running a sale for 10% off all orders + free shipping over $35 USD spent, and I believe it goes through Christmas.
3. Silver and Ivy
There are literally A TON of different jewelry options on this site. Necklaces, earrings and rings in different finishes + different styles, and plenty of customization options with charms, initials, stamps and gemstones.
There’s honestly something to suit every style in this shop - and the Mystery Boxes are currently 20% off - which is a HUGE steal. I ordered one yesterday, and can’t wait to see what’s in it when it arrives.
She’s currently doing a huge sale + a free gift added to all purchases (I think it ends today, 11/29). The amount you spend determines your free gift, but if you check out her IG, she’s shown some of the ones that have gone in already, and they’re gorgeous.
4. Sage Design Co.
Morgan makes handstamped items - pet tags, keychains, necklaces, and now ornaments. Since she’s doing it solo, her turnaround time is a little long - if you need a Christmas gift, I’d suggest ordering within the next few days.(She’s gotten nearly 400 orders since she got back from her honeymoon on 10/26)
I’ve ordered a few things from her, and the quality is fantastic! She’s willing to customize pieces (I just wanted a keychain, and so I didn’t need a name stamped on it), and each piece is one of a kind, since they’re hand-stamped and won’t be in the same exact spot.
No sale currently, but pricing and shipping are very reasonable - especially to US customers.
(Also, I am VERY rough with my keys and drop them all the damn time so the smudge on that is my fault - the keychain didn’t come like that)
I may continue to add to this as time passes, but for now - enjoy those four!
And like I said, please feel free to suggest shops for me to add. Shop small - that $25 order for a small business might be the difference between paying for gas for the week or not ... whereas $25 to a corporation means nothing.
