“Aaah, good job, good job! You did it,” Nana remarks airily, giving him a too-hard clap on the back as a gesture of praise. However, her brows knit as his actual request registers. “You know I’m a basketball player, right?” Ah well, it isn’t like she’s never played volleyball before--actually, she has to play it fairly frequently in gym class, so she’s familiar enough with the rules to lend a hand, she guesses. “...Well, whatever. That’s fine, but don’t whine if I hit the ball too hard, and since it’s not basketball, you’ve gotta buy me a meal afterwards, too. Let’s see... grilled meat sounds good, so treat me to that, okaaaay?☆”

“Buuu...” She’s pouting. Without a fraction of a doubt, she’s pouting.
Upon hearing from the manager that they’d be playing a practice match against Roman Academy’s girls’ basketball team, Nana had been excited. After all, she has it on good authority (a teammate’s friend of a friend of a cousin whose friend goes to Roman Academy) that the team has a mysterious extra player who’s been branded Death God of the Basketball Court--or something like that. Actually, she’s been kind of envious--Captor of the Court sounds cool, sure--that’s her title, so of course it’s cool--but Death God? That’s a whole other level. ...But Death God hadn’t been on the court during their practice match, and while the game had still been fun (her own team had just barely scraped up a win, but they’d been neck and neck right ‘till the end, exactly the kind of game she enjoys the most), Nana feels a little slighted. In her usual impromptu way, she confides as much to the nearest possible person, turning abruptly to face the red-headed guy with a huffy, disappointed expression that very much seems to imply that she expects him to have answers that he probably doesn’t.
“Hey, hey... why didn’t Death God come play...? I was all excited, but she never showed up. That’s too unfair, isn’t it? Don’t you think that’s too unfair?”
