“   That  door doesn’t open .   ”     He’s made  futile  attempts on pushing ,  pulling ,  ramming ,  and punching the door .  Alas ,  it’s still  ROCK SOLID .  However ,  he points upwards .     “   You know ,  there’s the vents .   ”     A curt remark to mask the real question :  would  she  be willing to crawl in ?

The world was blurry when Laurent opened his eyes, partially a function of his poor vision and partially due to his exhaustion.  He hadn’t gotten drunk last night, but clearly the extended socialization had worn him out.  "Hmm?”  He put his glasses on and looked at the clock, which read 11:30 AM.   “How is it so late already?!”  He was going to miss brunch at this rate. With haste he threw on some clothes and made his way to the dining hall...

...and ran head-on into a girl.

His eyes widened as a blush covered his face.  “Oh gods, I’m so sorry!”  Had he seen her before?  She looked sort of familiar; perhaps they had taken a math class together or maybe he had just seen her around.  “Are you unhurt?”

Ava glanced down at the jiggly thing at the end of the fork. She was pretty sure the bright neon green of it wasn’t supposed to be healthy either. “I know you’re not trying to poison me... but that doesn’t look at all appetizing. Isn’t key lime pie supposed to look like pie?”

Ava returned a smarmy look and held out her cupped hands, as if said chance could be plopped into her palms. “Are you sure? No take-backsies.” She smiled despite the redness around her eyes and her slightly stuffy nose.
