War frowned and looked at Mick a long moment. "Are you happy here?" She asked suddenly. "Do you want to go home?"

Mick found Snake sleeping in the warehouse. Looked like not only the kid had problems with working overtime, but the supreme leader as well. He just sat for a moment to count the ammunion that spilled all over his lap and floor.

It was supposed to be a fun little trip. Snake decided to let her and Mick ride along in the helicopter on a pick up. It was a quick flight over to pick up supplies with a few other soldiers. Nothing big. A few crates of weapons. It was mostly to give them something to do and get them off base for a while.

Everything had been going well. They got the crates and the two other soldiers were asleep in their seats. But War noticed that the helicopter was...acting weird. It would dip to one side and then suddenly straighten out with a quick jerk. She looked to Mick. "I...don't think this is normal. Should we check on the pilot?"

War had simply been relaxing with Mick that day. The two of them were sprawled out on the ground, enjoying the sunshine. They were holding hands, Mick’s thumb gently stroking the back of her hand. Turning her head, she smiled at him and brought his hand over to her lips, lightly kissing his wrist before lowering their hands back down again.

Merrick stayed crouched low in the grass as a Federation patrol went by him. The darkness of night kept him hidden as he moved towards the now abandoned village. "Stalker Six to Actual. I am taking refuge in an abandoned village until the evac arrives. The village looks abandoned." The radio crackled for a few minutes before he got a response. "Copy Stalker Six. ETA one hour." Merrick quickly slipped into one of the empty houses as the patrol moved off. He would be safe here. There wouldn't be another patrol for at least a few hours. With a sigh, he sat down and leaned his rifle up against the wall next to him. This would be a good place to set up camp for the time being.
