For clarity: some of these apply to the respective protagonists on screen (like "not a big athlete" between Gene and Lou from The Paragon) but others refer to the books in general (like "War" and "leg injuries" (between Gene and Pete from Peace Breaks Out---Finny was the one to break his leg but Pete injured his as well).

i’ve got 50 pages left in ‘peace breaks out’ and i am. exhausted. there’s an all-consuming feeling of uneasiness while reading john knowles’ writing here and in ‘a separate peace’. i am so tense. the hairs on the back of my neck are sticking up. there is no peace to be found. i am always anticipating something terrible happening. he lulls you into a false sense of security and then delivers the creepiest, spine-tingling eerie fucking bombs that haunt you. i would like to jounce several characters off a tree limb. i would like to give several others a hug. all i know is pain. i am dreading what’s to come. i am. exhausted.

And you don't have to do this one but it's just in my head because of this Brinker/Finny Finny/Gene Gene/Brinker ship game show competition I was thinking about the other day: the main characters of the books competing for best Knowles mc (a prestigious award)

^which I guess is just another showdown so maybe I'm in a trash tv mood XD

Now I am curious though, Wexford's newspaper reacting to and printing rumors about Finny's fall🤔
