If only one of the Twin Jades is genderbent, I want them to still look as alike as possible. The Lan clan strictly seperates men and women, so I think they would not see each other often. Maybe they got to see each other when they visited their mother; yet, that stopped at some point. Maybe they see each other again after a long while at a conference, or when a calamity happens, and they are surprised at how they could be each other’s mirror image. They have almost the same face shape, they are the same lenght, they have the same hair, the same posture. Their lives are different; one of them is going to be sect leader, the other is preparing to marry out of the sect. One of them was raised by Lan Qiren, the other by a female Lan cultivator, and she only sometimes heard something about her uncle. People talk of them as if they are a set. They don’t know any better; the Lan sect brought forth a boy and a girl, and they look alike, so they are a set. They don’t feel like they are one
