Spreading himself out across Lily’s lounge, James frowns at the pile of parchment in front of him. While he and Lily had high hopes for organising their wedding quickly, to allow them to just be married once and for all, as soon as they could, the reality was turning into something else entirely. It was, after all, remarkably difficult to plan and implement a wedding in merely a few weeks. What was more difficult, he was finding, was working out where exactly they were going to host it. His parents' house was now out, now nothing more than a pile of ashy rubble, and while Sirius had gleefully offered his parents house, James had a feeling Walburga Black would not be nearly as keen.
Running a hand heavily through his hair, James slumps back against the cushions, his eyes closed before he opens them to the sight of a familiar owl. Pulling the note from the owl’s leg and petting it softly on the head, James unrolls the parchment carefully, quirking one eyebrow at the contents:
"location: three broomsticks, bring yourself and your wand and that's it, we'll handle the rest"
Well, he supposed. That was certainly something.
