I finally got around to watching Call Me By Your Name and my gay heart is so full.

It feels so personal and intimate. I mean that the environment feels like a place I have always been living in, but in reality, I am only visiting visually for a few hours. The family seems so welcoming and so is the beauty of Italy. There was something that I loved about the community too. It just seemed like such a positive atmosphere. I really liked how simple things were. Things like biking around and lying in the grass together were so simple and sweet.

Also when Oliver asked if he could kiss Elio and Elio replied saying “yes please” made my heart so warm.

The scene where Elio and his father speak about Oliver’s relationship had me in absolute tears. I don’t think it could have been worded more lovingly. In a way, the father reminded me of my own and I think thats what really got to me. An acceptance I feel like I would have received if he was still around.
