Retcon of Woodes Rogers backstory
In 302 Commodore Chamberlain says Rogers “ Like most of London, I read your memoir. Marveled at your privateering exploits. It was quite a story. But I hear things. Certain details of your grand voyage, rash decisions and the terrible injuries that followed, the scar of which are...left out of the pages of your account. But perhaps harder to erase elsewhere.” Every time when I rewatch this scene, I see that there is a mismatch with Rogers backstory from season 4. Chamberlain`s words mean that Rogers actions lead to his brother`s death (rash decisions and the terrible injuries that followed, the scar of which are...left out of the pages of your account. But perhaps harder to erase elsewhere), but in season 4 it was shot from the Spanish galleon that lead to Tomas Rogers death. There is no even single mention about Rogers actions before. So it seems, in s3 writers had a different plan for Rogers backstory. When they had writing s4, they changed their plan for him. I dont know what was the first one, but it was definitely bad desicion, since story about the Spanish galleon and 73 dead Spaniars is one of the most idiotic things in show.
