peter is such a wonderful character and it’s really lovely to watch him learn that like. he can be kind. idk i’ll articulate this later but basically i feel like for most of this series he’s trying to punish his friends for thinking that he’s a good person in the past by PROVING how fucked up and harsh he really is and then balth and bea in addition to his new friends jaquie and costa basically like. refuse to let him have that and let him think of him that way and just keep on loving him in spite of his attempts to push them out and so he is forced 2 accept that he is kind and kindness have a place in his life

me four years later: LIIIIIIIIIKE peter did NOT have to put the f’s on the flat calendar, he didn’t need that to remember them, it was 2015, this bitch had a google calendar......if he was trying to keep faustus a secret WHY would he put them in out in public where everyone could see them? the only explanation is that he was a little shit who wanted to taunt ben and freddie with the knowledge that he was doing something outside the flat but they didn’t know what....love my boy

i didn’t say this when we were actually watching it or right after but i was thinking it so i’ll say it now and like. i love peter. i loooove peter. i love his anger and his rudeness and his defensiveness and his kindness and his love for the people he chooses to care about. i love that he has immense self-hatred and yet he refuses to hate himself for, like, the things his flatmates wish he would hate himself for. i love how messy and inconsiderate and rash and loud he is and how smart and romantic and gentle he can be. like he really is A PERSON, as complicated and real as they come. what a brilliant character, i was so formed by him, and it truly is just a shame that they couldn’t write him a love interest that matches his depth and complexity. but he’s great. my baby!

this is the last thing i’m going to say about this tonight hopefully but. peter in a relationship with balth or heck jaquie would have a very different Look than peter in a relationship with costa i think and i like that a lot as a thing to think about!!!!!!!!!!!!

i love in lll how peter is convinced he’s not a good person and freddie is like “peter, you’re not a good person” and he’s like “...fuCK YOU i’m a bad person for DIFFERENT reasons” but balth and bea and. hate to say it ben and the new people that he meet in his supposedly Bad Person state but love him and trust him (jaquie and costa) but mostly balth and bea and. ben continuing to love him and treat him like he’s their friend peter they’ve known forever and just refusing to let himself. think he’s not worthy of love idk there was something in that rewatch...there was
