YOU GUYS! GUESS WHAT BOOK I’M NOT READING for the eighth time in a row
#the vale of laughter#peter devries#is there an audience for this old book from [checks inside cover]#1953?#I’ll read The Invisible Man someday….#s o m e d a y#[Spongebob announcer voice] “Five-hundred years later……”#But no this one is good so far#It’s a little hard to understand some of the wording because the vernacular at the time was slightly different#I saw the word dough and thought it was literal dough and not money#and a few words I had to look up in a dictionary#Itinerant means traveling from place to place#Like an itinerary#I keep accidentally damaging this poor book (it’s from 1968)#if you hold the pages wrong they will rip#gotta be more careful#I feel bad because I view books as living creatures and oh no! I injured my baby!
