trophy name headcanons: 1. baba named her that because, at the time, she saw her daughter as her greatest accomplishment and believed she was destined to do great things! as the funeral home matriarch, baba wanted trophy to share her sense of pride and ambition, and thought her name should reflect that. 2. trophy went by atrophy during her goth phase (which ended as soon as pete started HIS goth phase and trophy was like okay this is cringe now :/)

while trophy was gone, peter sent her lots of photos of annie, family pics and milestones etc. even if she never responded, he thought it would be nice for her to see them! he messaged her a lot about things back home in general, in the hopes that she'd change her mind one day... even after she changed her number. baba discouraged this because it was less painful for her to pretend trophy just didn't exist anymore 😔

I can totally see Pete trying to keep in touch with Trophy and documenting all of Annie's milestones (pretty much he's the one who would have to because Trophy was gone obvi and Baba doesn't seem like the type imo) so like a good uncle Pete keep records of all of that: Annie's first steps, first tooth she ever lost, etc. !!! While Baba probably just tried to get her into the family business and never mentioned her daughter ever lol
