Throwback Thursday
Have some Charles and Peter thoughts, because I’m still thinking about them and have no one to share these with.
Peter goes to bed late but gets up early despite not being a morning person. He often stayed up late as a kid because it was the only alone time he could find.
Charles sleeps until noon most days.
Charles is always cold, Peter is always warm.
Charles has issues with temperature regulation in general, which isn't usually a problem most of the year, but the winter months can be hard on him as his body reacts horribly to the cold. Peter is happy to be his personal space heater.
Personal space is non-existent to Peter when they're in bed together. He absolutely loves to cuddle and will have his hands on Charles any chance he gets, and Charles doesn't mind for the most part; on flare up days, he prefers some distance.
Charles is the type of person that can't leave things half done, it's all or nothing. This often combats with his chronic pain.
He's also a bit of a perfectionist.
Peter often comments on his lovely penmanship, but sometimes his hands shake so much that he can't write as well as he'd like to, and it really bothers him. Charles once threw a pen across the room out of frustration.
Charles is slightly insecure about his double mastectomy scar only because he thought it would be two separate ones, but they met in the middle to form one long scar. Peter adores it.
Peter will apologize for anything and everything. It's a habit he developed as a child (no thanks to his brother). If he thinks someone is even the slightest bit upset, especially with him, it'll just come out of him on impulse.
Charles has told him plenty of times he doesn't need to keep doing it, that he's done nothing to even warrant an apology, to which Peter will accidentally respond with "sorry" all over again.
It took Charles time to adjust to going from his overbearing parents who wouldn't let him do much of anything because of his condition to being with Peter who lets him do whatever makes him feel happy.
Charles was used to hiding certain things from his parents because they would never approve, and this behavior extended to Peter (for a time) because he thought Peter might react similarly.
