LEGO The Burning, 1981.
Cropsy attacks the survivors (Woodstock) on the raft.
You remember that one Anon that described Peter chasing Sammy through the break room while screaming that their mom can't save him?
I reeeeaaally wanna see that lmao
Please? 🥺
I will have to look up that ask, but yeah! Sure!
==============================================
For once, the studio was calm. There were no fights, no yelling, and no shenanigans. The day had been incredibly uneventful and they'd made it all the way to their lunch break without any kind of incident happening.
For once... everything was peaceful.
Until that peace was swiftly broken by a yell of fear.
The current inhabitants of the break room looked up in concern. What on Earth could be going on? To their surprise, they saw Sammy sprinting into the break room, pursued by a gleeful Peter.
"Peter, Please!" Sammy called over his shoulder as he ran around the tables, trying desperately to avoid Peter. "Think of Mama!"
"MAMA CAN'T SAVE YOU NOW, SAMMY!" Peter cackled as he scrambled after his brother.
"What the fuck is going on?" Tom whispered to Jack, who watched the scene with a serene calm.
"Peter decided they needed to wrassle like when they were kids," he explained.
It was at that point that Peter managed to catch Sammy, tackling him to the ground and beginning to mercilessly tickle him. Sammy howled with laughter, immediately attempting to wriggle away.
But Peter held firm.
"Say Uncle! Say it!" Peter demanded.
"Never!" Sammy tried to shove at his brother's face.
"Say it, Sam!"
"Never!"
"They're so cute," Jack laughed fondly.
Tom looked from Jack to the wrestling brothers and back again. This place just kept getting weirder and weirder. At least no one had gotten transformed into anything strange this time. It upset him a bit that he considered this sort of thing tame.
Eventually, Peter did get Sammy to yield.
"Fine!" Sammy yelled. "Uncle! Uncle!!"
Peter smiled smugly, finally releasing Sammy. "I still got it," he proudly proclaimed.
"It's not fair," Sammy grumbled, rubbing at his shoulder. "You're in better shape."
"You're just no good at wrasslin', Sam," Peter said, patting Sammy's back.
Sammy rolled his eyes, getting to his feet and dusting himself off. "You owe me lunch for this, you know."
"Of course!" Peter assured him. "You were a good sport and all."
They then calmly left the break room as if they hadn't just run in and wrestled on the floor seconds before.
There was a brief moment of hesitation before the employees returned to their lunches. After all, this wasn't the weirdest thing that had happened to them.
Wood Engraving Wednesday
GEORGE TUTE & PETER REDDICK
These two prints come from our recent acquisition 2020 Vision: Nineteen Wood Engravers, One Collector, and the Artists Who Inspired Them, compiled and introduced by collector Nigel Hamway, edited by English wood engraver Peter Lawrence, and printed in 2020 by Patrick Randle’s Nomad Letterpress at the Whittington Press in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, in an edition of 340 copies for the 100th anniversary of the Society of Wood Engravers. Hamway asked nineteen of his favorite engravers to choose a major artistic influence, write an introduction about why they feel this way and, wherever possible, to work on a new engraving which sits side-by-side in the book with an engraving or illustration by their inspirer. The result is a unique collection, linking past with present, and a fitting tribute to the skills of the engravers and the part played by the Society in the history of wood engraving. We will be showing more examples from this book over the next several weeks.
In chapter 19, English wood engraver Paul L. Kershaw writes about his inspiration, the British printer and founder of the Fleece Press, Simon Lawrence, a scion of the Lawrence family, manufacturers of fine engravers' boxwood blocks, and “a master printer” who “has set me the best example I could have hoped for; I’m blessed,” writes Kershaw. In an unusual presentation for this volume, the Lawrence example is a folded Fleece Press printing of these two wood engravings by Lawrence’s own inspirations: Piers the Dragon Slayer by George Tute and The Death of William Rufus by Peter Reddick. Of these two English engravers, Lawrence writes:
Peter Lawrence Roadkill Episode 2
Character Bio #9
As usual, all statistics are as of book one, and the details will be kept purposefully vague, to a point, so that stuff isn’t spoiled.
This will be the last bio for the time being.
Name: Peter Lawrence
Gender: Male
Height: 6′2″ (1.88m)
Weight: 162lb (73kg)
Age: 16
Sol Type: ??? (???)
Signature Techniques:
- Dragon-like Avatars: Lawrence fights by creating large, durable, translucent dragon body part avatars around appropriate parts of his body, which mirror his movements.
- Ambidextrous: Lawrence can fight equally effectively with either hand and foot, and can even divide his attention between both halves of his body at once.
Description: The tallest and most muscular of Karen’s trio of Sol Takers, with short light brown hair and hazel eyes. Has a handsome face marred with an almost permanent scowl. Possesses a bad attitude impressive enough to make Sara jealous, and a lust for battle that rivals Tucker. Lawrence is the only member of Karen’s trio who doesn’t show any respect toward the Dueling Hearts, acting more unambiguously villainous. Wears worn jeans and dragon graphic t-shirts. Though he seems like a bit of a loose cannon, he defers to Karen’s judgment.
History: Much of Lawrence’s history is a major spoiler. He is a member of the sinister Sol Takers organization and one of the fighters who attacks Jo and her friends. In terms of raw power he is very likely the strongest of Karen’s trio, fighting against both Jen and Tucker.
Imagine baby Peter crying and baby Sammy just sitting by staring at him wide eyed like "I gotta live the rest of my life with this guy?"
Sammy knew from a young age that his twin was going to be very loud.
I personally headcanon Peter as being gay, cuz I feel like he'd be a super silly and fun gay person. Also Sammy would be extremely supportive and I need some younger brother supporting his gay older twin brother in my life-
Yaaaay equality! 🪄🏳️🌈
Oh, that's fun!
I feel like he, unfortunately, probably got a lot of jokes growing up about being gay because he likes cooking. And even if he actually is, I don't think he enjoys the jokes.
And yeah, Sammy will absolutely fight anyone who tries to give Peter shit. Granted, he'll fight people for lots of reasons. But, like, especially for this reason.
What if HS Sammy had an identical twin no one knew about?
Imagine the drama it could start! The possibilities! The confusion! The funny events!
ImAgInNnNnEe-
(there's not many stories out there with identical twins and I need this for my fav comfort character pls-)
Yeah, sure!
----------------------------------------------------------
There was a man who looked like Sammy in the studio. But he was not Sammy.
At least, people were pretty sure this wasn't Sammy. For starters, he spoke with a Southern accent. It was a thick one too. None of them could place where it was from, exactly, but it was very different from Sammy's normally flat accent.
Second, he was friendly. Incredibly friendly. He'd walked into the studio and immediately struck up a conversation with the employees who had been milling around in the entrance area. Sammy never talked to anyone until he'd had his coffee. And even when he had, other people usually had to initiate conversations. Sammy didn't just walk up and start talking to people unless it was about work. This action had thrown all of the employees for a loop, except for Susie, who had immediately responded as if this was completely normal.
"This is kinda freakin' me out, man," Wally whispered to Henry as the two of them watched this strange Sammy lookalike cheerfully chattering with Susie. "I never thought I'd see Sammy's face lookin' so...happy."
"It is... a little weird," Henry admitted. He was having a bit of a hard time wrapping his head around this, partially because of how tired he currently was.
