Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Feist, Prof. Mingzhe Lu and Prof. Peter Ruge have been appointed as visiting professor at Shenyang Jianzhu University in order to strengthen the joint effort for an energy efficient planning of passive houses and further sustainable developments. The president of the Shenyang Jianzhu University, Prof. Dr. Tiemao Shi handed over the letters of appointment in Beijing.

GATED vs. OPEN has been the title of a successful student workshop held at Zhejiang University in cooperation with Hochschule Anhalt. Thanks to the invitation of Prof. Yue Wu, dean of the department of architecture, the challenges of the transformation of the urban block has been analyzed and new sustainable approaches and their chances have been allocated and defined.

World Bank certifies resource efficiency for Passive House Bruck
The IFC Interantional Finance Cooperation as part of the World Bank Group evaluated Passive House Bruck and awarded EDGE – Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies Certification for the Project designed by Peter Ruge Architekten. This certificate for green buildings exemplifies design achievement in resource efficiency in the following areas: 47% ENERGY reduction, 42% WATER reduction and 34% MATERIALS embodied energy reduction.

Sustainable Design Workshop in Delhi at thedesignvillage from DIA is proceeding successfully. After a strong brain storming phase two projects: #Bamboo Chaya and #Ek Akhbaarbaarbaar have been evaluated to understand the process and products of sustainable design and have been already tested in the field.
