“Thanksgiving being tomorrow is making me more homesick than I thought I would be,” Peter said as he looked down at his phone. “My mom keeps sending me pictures of all of the prep she’s doing. It’s weird not being there.”

Peter had just finished teaching his afternoon lecture and now he had a long break before his last class of the day. He was watching the students clear out when he spoke. “Minjae?” he called out. “Would you mind hanging back for a minute?” He was careful to word the request as a question, not a command. It was something the other could turn down if he wanted.

Peter watched as the students filed out of his class after a lesson, but looked over to Minjae. He was worried about the young man, he hadn’t seen him one on one in quite some time, and he was hoping to reach out to him. “Minjae, would you mind hanging back for a few minutes?” he called out to the student.

“So you really made this place what it is now,” Peter hummed as he looked around the library. It was impressive. Peter had always loved books and spent a considerable amount of time in them, so he knew a good one when he saw it. “This is incredible,” he smiled.

“Strange to think its already nearly December,” Peter hummed. “It started snowing back home, my mother sent me pictures. It feels like September was yesterday.”
@littlcbirdie
“Birdie,” Peter called as he caught the other walking in the hallway. “Do you have a moment? I was hoping we could discuss your classes for next semester.”
