The Revelation Machine by Peter Myers
“ There is the conception that a mask is a device for concealing the true nature of things. I believe the true function of the mask is to reveal a more interior sort of truth. We seek to define ourselves in the world. The essence of who and what we are seems almost indescribable. We build ourselves up with artifice. We take facades existing in the material world and apply them to our person. We communicate our interior to the exterior world using all kinds of masks.”
