Finally, FINALLY, all four of the fairy/mermaid costumes are done. This has been such an oddly large undertaking. Strip skirts/fins and pieced wings that are all intentionally rough still take a shocking amount of preparation time. I made four sets: purple, indigo, blue, and teal. Each intentionally shares elements with one or more of the other sets, but also has pieces that set it apart. Indigo and teal are on black bases, while purple and blue are on light grey. I painted six long pieces of tulle to make tops and whatever other accessories the fairy/mermaid characters need. I procured four lined tulle skirts to finish out the look. Everything is attached via tying or elastic to allow for quick changes mid-show.
