firstly, to anon that said srar music video could be seen as a wedding, your brain is HUGE and so sexy. secondly, we now need a fic where elton john accidentally officiated peterick’s marriage, cue shenanigan, some angst, and love confession, of course!

yesyesyes the angst of it all, the inner turmoil, Andy and Joe as unwitting but surprisingly chill groomsmen. Pete's genuine confusion because Patrick's been pacing around all day and avoiding him since Elton made that offhand joke (because Patrick knows about Elton being ordained, he'd mentioned it to him once in the studio).

"You guys are basically married anyway, what's the big deal?" Joe would ask when Patrick tells him, but he doesn't look away from his phone because he doesn't actually care about the answer - that's how not-big of a deal it is to him.

Andy would just laugh. And laugh, and laugh. He'd laugh himself out of the room.

Elton keeps trying to have meaningful one on ones. "The music and letters can blend the truth, love. You can get lost, sometimes, singing his songs to him - forgetting you didn't write the words yourself. Sit down and have a listen to how many he's written for you."
