Gage is all love and he gets along very well with other dogs. Although, his all-time favorite activity is lounging in his dog bed. 🤗 He would do well in most home environments and he deserves the best! PLEASE SHARE to help Gage find his forever family! @pittiepawrescue wrote, "Gage was an owner surrender in mid 2016. His family was getting a divorce and he was forced with no where to go. He was 8 years old and lived life on a chain for the previous seven years. Gage is a super sweet senior who enjoys dog beds, treats and a unimaginable amount of love! He is the ultimate bed hog! Gage thinks he is a lap dog and enjoys naps. He is good with other dogs, too. He has not been cat tested, but I assume he would do fine. He is a lazy boy and a bit of a velcro dog. They potential adopter should know Gage needs insulin twice a day, at set times. He has been tested as heart-worm positive, but due to his diabetes he may not ever be strong enough to undergo treatment since when it was tried last and it sent him in to diabetic shock due to the medications used. Thanks to the #PetfinderFoundation, Gage's adoption will come with vaccinations, a plastic kennel, and insulin/syringes for almost a year. We only adopt within the state of #Ohio. And adoption applications include reference check, home check, and vet check."
