Beth Ditto ist eine der streitbarsten Sängerinnen der Popmusik Szenerie Seit mittlerweile 25 Jahren legt Beth Ditto – zumeist mit Ihrer Band The Gossip Veröffentlichungen vor die zwischen „geht gar nicht und „herrausragend“ pendeln. Selbiges gilt für ihre selteneren Soloveröffentlichungen. Mit der aktuellen Kollaboration mit Polo and Pan im Song Petite Etoile schlägt das Pendel allerdings wieder deutlich in Richtung „herausragend“ aus.

The soprano is Ioanna Forti. The song is “Petite Etoile,” from something called “Zorba’s Ballet.” Montreal Symphony orchestra, I believe. I found the whole Ballet on Usenet, years ago. Don’t know much about it, but I just love this song. Give it time.
