What’s the best way to calm down your muse when they’re angry? (For Ardyn)

// Let's be honest here, there is no good way to calm the Chancellor down when he gets truly angry.

Not much can make Ardyn outwardly angry. He's smart and cunning and he knows how to get what he wants. He knows how to manipulate people and look the part.

It's when he loses control of a situation that he shows his angrier side - because that's what he yearns for, truly, to have control over his own destiny, to be free of (oh no, to take revenge on) the gods who have forsaken him millenia ago.

His anger is simmering under his calm facade. He won't look like he's losing control of himself but deep underneath his smile lie flames of scorching hatred for the gods, the world, and every creature inhabiting it.

So when Ardyn gets angry, it ends in blood and tears.

Is your muse good with kids? What ages? For Break!

Break is surprisingly loved by the kids, which doesn't always equates to being good with them.

Back when he was a Knight, one of his charges was little Miss Sinclair, the youngest girl from the family he was sworn to protect. He was a no nonsense man, as serious as one can be and sometimes on the awkward side because of it. The little girl did love spending time with him anyway; he had a soft spot for her and he supposed she felt it through his severe demeanor.

After meeting the Rainsworth, the Knight became a broken man. He was closer to a wounded, wild beast than a man, and this made young Reim Lunettes quite scared of him at the beginning. He did however heal with time and became a presence Reim and especially Sharon came to appreciate in their short lives. At this time Break suffered through the kids' presence, but the fact he was there for them and participated (because of Sharon's mother mainly) in their games made them warm up to him much quicker than they should have, if you ask him.

Another bonus point for him: he never really had to be the one to reprimand them. It was usually Lady Shelly who had to intervene when the kids went too far, because him and Reim would start to scream at each other and get into fights, or Sharon would start crying and Break would have no idea how to deal with a crying child (he still doesn't know how to deal with a crying Sharon even now).

As he is right now, he's still - well, not great with kids, but his patience with them is something they usually seem to appreciate. He also doesn't try to change how he speaks or act around them... which sometimes backfires since he can be rude, but kids usually like when adults treat them like equals.

In conclusion, Break doesn't see himself as very good with kids. He can be awkward with younger ones and he doesn't... dilute his somewhat strong personality when he interacts with older kids, but they still seem to like him for it.

He’ll be attracted to a scene as a whole, the way they move, quiet moments which will become engraved to his memory: a flower girl tending to her garden inside a broken church, an old friend smiling brightly at him from behind her bar counter. It’s when he pays attention to someone that he may begin to become attracted to them.

what’s your biggest pet peeve when it comes to lgbtqa characterization in media? For the pride asks ~

// Controversial opinion here I suppose, but I don’t like how both media and fandom will sometimes make a character all about their gender identity or sexuality. I’m all for representation but I appreciate some subtlety, not having it shoved in my face and not knowing anything else about the character except who they’re shipped with for example. That’s why my muses’ sexuality aren’t written in their description, they have a personality before they’re ace or whatever.
