Iced or hot coffee ☕

Why would you make me drink coffee in the first place? Why was coffee even discovered and who decided it was an acceptable beverage? If I have to make a choice, then iced and with a shit ton of sugar/chocolate/white chocolat syrup. You know Starbucks' white chocolate frappuccino? Very little coffee, lots of everything else.

Iced or hot tea 🍵

Why would you ice TEA? This is why the human race is doomed I'm telling you. Tea is to be served hot but never burnt so get that kettle off before it boils.

Lemonade or sweet tea 🍋

Sweet tea is an abomination. Why would you give me BAKING SODA TO DRINK? Ugh. Lemonade is alright if homemade by someone who's not addicted to sugar though.

Fruity or minty gum

Not allowed to chew gum anymore but I was more of a mint person. Fruity flavors were too chemical for my taste.

Pasta or potatoes

Niak. This is a hard one. Potatoes are fun and you can fry them and they're creatures of God but pastaaaaaa... Parmesan goes on pasta and for that reason only it gets my vote.

Olives or pickles

There are two things you need to know about me if we're gonna share food together: I will never, ever willingly consume olives and will have pickles with absolutely everything. The small ones though, cornichons. Not the gigantic ones people in America like to grow.

Rice or bread

Bread. Bread. BREAD.

Cookies or brownies

Brownies take too long to bake and you have more fun with cookies. Also, that's my cat's name and if I don't say cookies he will know tonight when I get home and he will bite me to punish me.

Handwritten or phone reminders-

That notes app is somewhere on my phone because I can't uninstall it. But I hate my handwriting with a passion so I just remember everything since I have an excellent memory.

Zip-up or pullover hoodie

I hate zip-ups, I look like a whale in them. And hoodies are COZYYYY.

Jeans or sweatpants

I look even more like a whale in sweatpants so I'll have to say jeans. But when I'm home I'm just wearing pjs.

Flip flops/thongs or slides

Both are evil so they can crawl back to where they belong. I'll sleep with socks (even thin) all year long. I'll take them off when we reach 40°.

Paperback or ebook

I use my kindle before bed but paperback all the way when you want to spend hours reading.

Enemies to lovers or FWB to lovers

Enemies to lovers all the way. The hatred, the tension, the angst, the oh, oh maybe I was wrong? the messy feelings, GIVE IT TO ME I'M READY.

One bed or fake dating

That one bed trope has been alive way too long and needs to be put to rest, pun very much intended.

Hurt/comfort or whump

Hurt/comfort. I'm all for angst but the heavy hurt usually deals with atrocities and, nope.

Mutual pining or amnesia

Amnesia! That's the kind of angst I like.

Canon compliant or AU

It depends on the ship. I usually prefer canon but there are some excellent AUs out there.

Soulmate or Sports AU

My issue with sports AU is that it's almost always about the characters in the sports world rather than the chosen sport itself. I end up frustrated with how poorly depicted the sport is or how irrelevant it is to have them in this world in the first place all.the.time. Like okay they're figure skaters but why would you have them do 3 triple lutzes in one program when it's not a thing and yolo spins without telling me if it's a flying sit spin or a back camel?

Celebrity AU or Coffeeshop AU

I may have outgrown the coffeeshop AU, so, celebrity.

One shot or long fic

Quality over quantity. Which isn't an answer but :D

I read your post about Yuzu and his fans and I have that feeling for a long time. I really love Yuzu's skating but the constant downputting of other skaters is annoying as hell. Also constantly bringing up old stuff when Yuzu competed and hold it against skaters in current judging is completely nonsense. Now is now. I hate the victim card ppl play for Yuzu all the time even when he's not affected by any kind of scoring nonsense anymore.

I actually haven't seen the current debates, but I have seen enough and been attacked enough over the years to have an idea. I stopped following a lot of accounts a few years ago - before Beijing even - which lead me to missing information about Yuzu but it made me more at peace myself. I just follow those Fanyus who don't engage in hatred towards other skaters.

I know Yuzu is not at fault for his fans behavior and I feel very sad that their behavior tainted my love for Yuzu. 😭

Answer this as you like as private answer or not or also not answer it at all. I don't mind just here to tell you that you should do whatever feels best for you.

It's pretty much always the same, how dare they mention quad revolution without saying Yuzu was the one who launched it? (when even Yuzu himself in 2015 said he was inspired by Boyang bringing the 4lz to be stronger...). How dare they give a skater 9 in PCS when Yuzu had more artistry? .....What does that even mean?

It's the constant need to bring a skater down and compare them to Yuzu that I can't take anymore. It's even doing Yuzu a disservice because Fanyus don't have the greatest reputation out there and they're just digging and digging their already very deep grave.

I actually enjoyed Angers, scores aside because that'll never improve, and you can't even be happy for skaters without being reminded that YUZU DID IT WAY BETTER. What's the point? They believe ISU will erase his legacy by dictating what commentators say when they're actually the ones tarnishing it by bringing so much anger and pettiness into the mix.

They even went after Mark Henretty who's the most dedicated one we've had EVER because they weren't happy with a small thing he said last season.

So yeah, I'm at a point where I'd rather not know what Yuzu is doing (even here on Tumblr because it'll remind me that fstwi exists) than have to deal with their bitterness. The man is HAPPY, this need to avenge him is mute. They're on a crusade against the void and I wonder sometimes whether they'll it go at some point or will just continue because not getting what they want out of it will simply make their anger stronger.

"I feel very sad that their behavior tainted my love for Yuzu. 😭" this hit very hard because I'm fighting it like crazy, have been for the past year actually. When before it was anxious anticipation and nerves but joy, now I'm just dragging my feet.

And I think just maybe, having solid Yuzu material once a year doesn't help either, whether it's the fans trying to sty positive in this sea of negativity, or even them because they don't hve much to turn to. Don't get me wrong, GIFT and RE_PRAY are incredible and time consuming but once you've watched it 30 times then what? You go back to Chopin and Seimei and H&L... and you compare the skaters still active to these performances. The wheel never stops turning.

Roger Federer has now retired. He announced it a couple of weeks ago and said that Laver Cup (a competition where Team Europe and Team World face each other) would be his last competition.

Tis fact itself is very sad for the sport because Roger Federer was one of a kind. One of the greatest ever.

His knee is in bad shape though, so he knew he wouldn't play singles at Laver Cup. So he asked to play only doubles, and with Rafa Nadal of all people. And this is what has the whole world in tears. These two have been fierce opponents for a decade, they've given tennis fans incredible moments (looking at you Wimbledon 08 and Aus Open 17) yet they've always been close. They built an amazing relationship on and off court, based on deep mutual respect and appreciation.

So to them have on the same side for one last match, at the request of Roger so he wouldn't be alone at practice or on the court...

We should talk about how these olympics proved yuzuru is not only loved for his achievements and medals, but that people love him and his way of skating, his dedication, his art, and will support him whether he wins or not! I find that beautiful (and goated) and i hope yuzuru realised that once and for all that we really love HIM, not an olympic gold.

That's why the way western media handles things doesn't really matter to me. They're writing for their target, which is not global or worldwide, and they only resonnate with a small part of the FS community.

EVERYONE wants to be around Yuzu. We were talking earlier about attention grabbers and clout but, I mean, there are skaters that don't approach him. The reason belong to them and I'm not one to judge. Whether it's because they don't like him or are afraid of him (the boy does come on strong ahah), it's up to them.

Skaters aside, volunteers gathered like bees around honey and they had to crowd control the path to the press con. People gathered on the streets to see him go and cheer him on one last time.

Yuzu just inspires people. That's who he is. That's his gift and we're indeed very luck to witness his love and dedication every time he skates.

I think he's starting to realize how much he's loved. I think, maybe, he had some recognition of that fact after Sotchi and PC but that it really hit in Beijing. In 2014 people clung to him because of the tragedy in 2011, he gave them hope, he became this beacon of light so many needed at the time. In 2018 the pressure and attention and stakes were CRAZY high, I believe him when he says he felt the support of everyone (and every time he says something similar during competition).

But in Beijing I think he started to realize how LOVED he is. It's easy to support and cheer and love someone at his best, who wins everything. Maybe, for him, it's harder to do so when someone doesn't deliver and fails? That wouldn't surprise me. He said himself that he thought people were remembering the Yuzu from 2014 and 2018.

But in 2022, he got as much if not more, support and love than during all these years. Because he came back to make history, and he did. Even if that meant saying goodbye to another olympic title which is what so many were talking about. He followed his path, and I feel maybe he's starting to realize people do love him all the more for it.
