Indian PET prices
The PET market in Mumbai remained stable this week after witnessing a notable correction during the previous fortnight. Prices were assessed at Rs 128.00/kg, unchanged from the prior weekly level, suggesting that domestic trading conditions are beginning to normalize. Indian PET prices reflected balanced buying activity after the recent fall from Rs 142.00/kg recorded two weeks earlier. Market participants also noted that month-on-month comparisons showed a decline of Rs 17.00/kg from Rs 145.00/kg, confirming that the market has moved into a more stable trading phase.
Although short-term prices softened recently, the wider market structure continued to indicate stronger recovery trends. Prices increased by Rs 31.00/kg over the last three months and remained Rs 28.00/kg above the six-month benchmark of Rs 100.00/kg. Year-on-year comparisons highlighted a substantial increase of Rs 54.00/kg from Rs 74.00/kg. Indian PET prices also remained within the annual trading band between Rs 68.00/kg and Rs 148.00/kg.
