Big Picture: Petrcane

Petrcane is a small fishing village located just 10 kilometers north of Zadar and is also quite close to Nin. The 900-year-old village is host to beautiful pebble beaches and a bay surrounded by two peninsulas, Punta Radma and Punta Skala. After a day at the beach, consider awalk or a bike on one of Petcane’s trails, which will lead you through olive fields. If you prefer a livelier scene, then head down to this village during the Garden Festival, featuring world-renowned DJs, tasty cuisine, and endless dancing.

The Garden Festival, Petrcane, Croatia

I went to this festival last year, and had a really great time. It was on the Croatian coast in a small town called Petrcane, which is close to Zadar. The atmosphere around the small festival site (only 2000 people) was very relaxed and intimate, with everyone there for a good time in the sun, while listening to the incredible live music. The festival site really added to the experience, with it being by the beach, and having large beds scattered around for festival-goers to chill out on both during the day, and into the night. During the day most people took in the sunshine on the beach, or went out on day trip boat parties.

This really is a great European boutique festival boasting fantastics music, fun people, and perfect summer vibes!
