When in @vegas, you must get off the strip and head to @valley.of.fire! Pro tip: go early. The line for entry was long as left. We had the entire place to ourselves at 8:30 am. Pack water and snacks and respect the signs. Some areas are fine for climbing others are not. Cost: 10.00 per car. Our National Parks annual pass was not valid here. This was the best 10.00 that we spent in Vegas. I thought that we’d spend 2 hours exploring and 4 hours later, we left the park only because tacos were calling. It’s worth the 1 hour drive from Vegas to this massive state park. We saw big horn sheep and mountain goats and heard snakes.
