Pettra cut her hair because she went through some excessively big loops of a personal degree, and did not feel like having the luscious long locks any more. Pettra is a rather mysterious girl, who recently appeared in Rata Sum, with alleged connections Tyria-wide, immense mesmeric powers, and a rather wide-spread set of skills in combat, trade, and adventuring. In truth, she was named Midna, born circa 250 years in the past, in the time when the Flameseeker Prophecies became set in stone. A prodigal mesmer student, she was killed by Margonites and violently ripped through time by Zanna’s magic, so she may act as a pure conduit of energy for the witch’s master. Unfortunately for the malevolent necromancer, Midna woke up, once more alive due to the massive life-force ripple, and in her panic caused a massive chaos-magic explosion, dislodging a huge part of her mind. With how big the shock would have been then, it’s possibly for the best she lost her memory awhile..

Pettra being badass. Half-stolen this idea from Wildstar, where Spellslingers have this ability called “Gate”, dashing through a sort-of pocket dimension to clear distances fast, and gain momentum, appearing out of a rune-like gate. Why wouldn’t teleporter mesmers be able to do this?
