I honestly feel so bad for youtubers that have to hide any type of playful friendship they may have with another YouTuber, in fear of being shipped with them. While the majority of fans mean well, i personally think people take it too far too fast. It quickly makes things awkward, and now certain youtubers when reblogging ship art put a disclaimer. ‘please dont take it too far’ and other things like this has been floating around, and it is poisonous/

I love Mark but like... nope. Disagreeing with someone bc of an "opinion" is different than someone actively and repeatedly belittling others because of their race/religion/etcetc (that's not an opinion, that's just offensive). They are the ones not treating others with RESPECT, so calling them out in their bullshit doesn't make them a victim? Pewdewpie has done utter bullshit repeatedly and his apology was basically making himself a victim and claiming it was just a joke instead of taking responsibility. His apology was shit. Like... this doesn't matter to Mark, he says...? Like... if you're going to be racist, homophobic and a rape apologist (like Pewdewpie is), people don't owe you respect bc  you're the one not respecting people and being a bigot. I don't think it's fair. Fuck being nice to racists tbh. Fuck being nice to people who make racist jokes, rape jokes, homophobic jokes. It's not funny to people of color, and survivors, and LGBT people. THEY are the ones being deshumanized. Not the one who makes the joke. I think what it should be called out in this case, would be being making racist jokes, not calling out a racist. I love Mark, but agree to disagree, I guess.
