Hi, I'd like to request something for Peyton Leverett, if you have time. Everyday Peyton hears someone singing in his building (like maybe he hears it through the pipes or vents in his apartment), but he doesn't know who or where it's coming from. Reader is very shy but loves to sing, she just doesn't have confidence to perform in front of people. He falls in love with her voice and is determined to find who it is. Please and thank you.

The sunlight was still seeping through the window when he worked on a new project. He rarely was home during the day, even more so having natural light to work with. Yet every time he is there, cramped up & surrounded by takeout containers, he hears you.

Well, he didn't know it was you, but it was your voice that travelled into his place, too quiet for his own liking but still too beautiful for him to complain. It was like his own personal jukebox, never needing to pull out his old radio and instead feeling totally fulfilled with just the sound of your voice.

Even though this was a big project for him, he couldn't help but get distracted. Could you blame him? He'd been craving for a reason to go and find you, and finally, he had one. You would be the star. His star.

He grabbed his camera and hastily left his studio, barely remembering to lock it. When he finally reached the only area it could've come from and heard it grow louder, he knew he was at least going in the right direction when he reached your door, the sound reaching its loudest. His heartbeat picked up, the determination suddenly crashing down as he actually got this close to you. Doubts ran through his head, anyone could be behind his door, anyone. Was this a risk he was willing to take? It felt too late to turn back, he had to knock now.

Swallowing the lump in his throat, Peyton knocked, ignoring the shake in his hand and hesitation in the couple of knocks. The door creaked open, only slightly, revealing not much but just enough to know. He had expected someone around his age, but apart from that he was totally blind. So when you opened the door, he was shocked.

Your voice was quiet, gently asking if he needed anything. It was like an angel in front of him, maybe it was.

"Yeah, uh, this is definitely random and probably strange but- your voice, I can hear it from my place and-"

"I'm sorry, I'll try to keep it down." Your head dropped slightly, a tinge of pink spreading over your cheeks as you began to close your door. You were way too shy to hear any other harsh words that other neighbours had come to you with, they warned you and each time it made you want to crawl into a hole. Maybe that's why you always checked if they were out or not before you mindlessly sang along to the old, scratched records on your player. You couldn't help it, not really, not when it's something that you've been doing, and loving, for life. Even if you never sang in front of anyone, it was your true passion.

"No! I don't mean it like that, I wanted to tell you how much I love it, your voice is- it's beautiful. I just wanted to meet you, and say thanks for keeping me entertained through these final projects." Peyton corrected, smiling softly.

"Project? What is it you do?" You ask, your eyes glancing down to the camera in his hand.

"I go to film school, I actually wanted to find you so we could talk about it, I'd like to interview you."

Despite the initial hesitation, you felt weirdly comfortable with him, that's why you invited him inside with an openness neither had experienced before.

UPDATE: I had started watching Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure and Peyton had showed up and my husband walked in, took one look at him and said, "That is an attractive dude." When I told him he plays Elvis, he said that he had just backed me up lol, and that he had been thinking that if he liked guys, Austin is the kind of guy he'd be attracted to lol. 😆

My wish for you is that you find your own Peyton Leverett, someday soon, because I know that he’s out there, waiting for you to become his star. Until then, never forget that you are the leading lady of your own life, and you decide how the story ends.
