“Nathan Hartlot,” Peyton spoke as he stepped inside of the station’s interrogation room. He paused to look at the man waiting for him, noting to himself that he looked much younger than Peyton had expected. “Thank you for coming in today. I just have a few questions about a recent disappearance.” Peyton set a folder on the table, showing a woman with two prominent red dots on her neck. “She was last seen at your hotel after checking in. We were hoping you could help us find-out more about the situation.” They’d already spoken to the front desk worker, which had given them little to nothing. Nathan was their next step to finding the woman’s killer.

“Of course,” Peyton didn’t hesitate to agree, she’d be silly to turn down a drink especially with her old high school crush. “It’ll be good to catch up.” @poeticnightmxre​

Nathan smiled when Peyton agreed to get drinks with him, then he decided to tank things one step further. He was having a good day, feeling more brave than usual. Plus there was a chance that they’d be able to laugh it off if what he said nxt made things awkward. “Just to be clear, I am asking you out on a date. . . Just to be clear.”

“Nathan Harris,” fell from Peyton’s mouth the minute she saw who it was that had approached her, a small chuckle leaving her as she nodded her head. “Yeah, it really has been,” she agreed. Slanting her head, her gaze trailed downwards for a moment before they worked their way back up to his face, a tiny smirk twitching at the side of her lips. “Could say the same about you.” @poeticnightmxre​

Nathan laughed lightly through his nose when Peyton threw the compliment back his way. He hadn’t been fighting for it, but he wasn’t going to push it away either. Nathan knew how his body looked, and he was able to take a compliment for what it was. “Can I buy you a drink? Maybe we could talk . . . catch up.”
