I'd rather go to nightclubs and wander through museums and have ugly walk-up apartment with some friends. I want to find someone to love and wait in line with on a cold night to see pieces of strange theater. I think I'd like the hustle of a city that's dirty and chaotic and poor and wealthy, that's chic and strange, where people are different from me.

I've had that laser pointer for awhile. I gave up playing with it, because Pfeff would chase it for about a minute before he worked out I was doing it, then look up at me with an unimpressed expression and then stalk off.

About three days ago I pulled it out for Mab, and it quickly became her obsession. That begging face! The paw! The plaintive little mews!

He really hates that tabby.

Thankfully he didn't go far or get mad at me when I picked him up and brought him back inside.

It occurs to me I haven’t shown off my gorgeous Pfeff recently.

This cat has been beside me every day when I prayed the rosary. Tonight he decided to get involved.
