The Quest Schema

In my Entertainment discourse i discussed my love for the guitar and my favorite guitar player, Gino Matteo. I discussed how the ambient tones of the guitar create an atmosphere or mood within the audience the guitar is played for. I described how Gino Matteo connects with his audience emotionally and viscerally through his music. I also told how his music made me feel, and moved me emotionally. 

Gino Matteo is a underdog. No one really knows his name, but he’s one in a million. He moved me to tears in his solo performance at the Guitar Center “House of Blues” competition. 

I mentioned that Gino has a “Hand of blue-steel and ice water in his veins”. This refers to his excellent knowledge and talent with forming notes on the guitar to obtain tone and resonance throughout the performance. He moves the crowd with his creation, this is a live solo performance, and it was in no way rehearsed. Yes, he did take the music in a basic three chord blues progression, but the performance quickly turns into so much more than a rehearsed “guitar lick”. 

I mentioned how Gino has inspired me throughout the years to keep playing guitar. I think the thought of me shredding a artistic solo like Gino’s, keeps me entertained with the guitar. 

Lastly, i talked about the ambient spiritual energy that Gino’s performance manifested in my life. I cry, laugh, and smile ear to ear every time i hear this performance. It is an emotionally moving performance where Gino pours his soul out onto the stage.
