Happy Holidays!

The Library will be closed for Winter Break from Thursday, December 21 to Tuesday, January 2. Services will resume on Wednesday, January 3.

Students must answer the question: How has PGCC transformed your life? by using any of the following art forms: prose, poetry, song, art piece, etc. The submission can be text, video or image and should be uploaded to a personal Instagram account, or the Library's Facebook, by January 29, 2018 using the hashtag #pgccscholars18.

Submissions are due by January 29, 2018.

Instagram and Facebook users are encouraged to "like" their favorite submissions. Winners will be selected and announced by the PGCC Marketing Department and Library staff via the College's flagship accounts on January 31st at 12 pm.

Participants must:

Be a currently enrolled PGCC student and registered for Spring 2018 credit courses

Mention what their major/concentration is in the text of the post, or in the photo/video

Address the question, How has PGCC transformed your life?

Use the #PGCCscholars18

Not be a previous winner of the Book Scholarship Contest

Adhere to all guidelines; failure to do so will render the submission ineligible

Fall 2017 Book Scholarship Contest

Students must answer the question, "What impact has reading made on your life?," by using any of the following mediums: prose, poetry, song, or art piece. Submissions can be a document, image, or video and should be uploaded to the student's personal Instagram account or Library Facebook page by using the hashtag #PgccScholar.

The contest will begin August 2, 2017 at 12 pm. Submissions will be accepted no later than August 27, 2017 at 11:59 pm.

Instagram and Facebook users are encouraged to "like" their favorite submissions. The winner will be selected and announced by the PGCC Marketing Department and Library staff on August 30, 2017 at 12 pm via the College's flagship accounts.

Do Numbers Lie? Deciphering and Incorporating Statistical Data in Your Research

Using data effectively can be daunting; statistical data can influence opinions and ideas. 

This workshop looks at varieties of statistical data and gives an overview on websites such as the United States Census Bureau as viable points of information. 

Come learn how to create data searches and discover effective visual representations of data charts.
