Native Habitat: Native to Eurasia and North America.
Leaves: Dark green basal leaves 2” to 17” long and 1” to 10” across.
Size: Usually under 12” but can grow up to 18”.
Bark & Flowers: Bright yellow flower heads 1” to 3” in diameter with hollow stalks.
Preferred Soils: Extremely common and adapts to most soils in temperate regions, thrives in disturbed sites and areas with moist soils in full sun or partial shade.
Hardiness Zone(s): 3 to 10.
