The boy decided last week that he wanted to cook something. After looking through all the kid cookbooks, he decided he wanted to make cannolis! I don’t think he’d ever has a cannoli. And I’ve never made cannolis but I was game. I ordered cannoli tubes. We made the filling on Sunday then finally made the shells tonight. I think the recipe wasn’t great. Everything tasted good but there were details I had to look up from other recipes (oil temp, thickness of rolled dough) and there wasn’t enough dough, even halving the recipe as we did, it should have made a few more. And the filling was too liquid. But the boy was thrilled and so happy with the results.
