Remember the Gold Phantasm Sphere?
I've always loved the classic silver Sentinel Sphere, but the Gold Sphere never seems to get much attention.
After searching around and coming up empty, I decided to make one myself.
Sometimes, if the collectible you want doesn't exist... you build it. 💀🟡
Currently working on a full-scale Phantasm Sphere. ☠️⚙️
The size is finally where I want it, now comes the real challenge: getting the surface as smooth and reflective as possible for that cold metallic shine the spheres have in the films.
It’s fully 3D printed, so there’s been a LOT of sanding, filling, sanding again… then questioning my life choices… then more sanding. 😆
I don’t think I’ll ever get it QUITE as mirror-finished as the movie prop, but I’m determined to get as close as I can.
Anybody here worked on high-gloss metallic props before? Always open to suggestions, techniques, or secret dark rituals.
The sphere is watching.
