A fair warning though that I don't really keep up to date on scarlet witch now because modern writers can't really get her character right, you feel me?1. Uncanny xmen #4-7, where Pietro and wanda make their first appearance.2. Avengers v.3 (1998-2004), these are probably wanda's best moments!!3. HOUSE OF M honestly bendis is a shitty writer but he nailed the dynamic between wanda and Pietro really well.4. Avengers: the children's crusade, it's an okay wanda story but one of the best modern ones, but only read it after House of M.5. X factor 1991-1998, this has Polaris inside and her dynamic w Pietro is great, so great.And the rest are included in the avengers list you asked for!! Feel free to ask me for more when you're done ^_^

hi!!! okay, i am a recent comic book convert mostly I've stuck to daredevil (you can probably guess why) and i was wondering if you had recommendations on where to start reading the avengers??

hey! i gotta start watching the series man, everyone’s said such good things about it. 

sorry this took so long, i had school. before we start this off i feel like i should declare that i’m not the biggest avengers fan?? (except for scarlet witch and quicksilver) just putting it out there, these posts (x) (x) (x) sum up why if you’re interested, but there are spoilers.

okay:

1. Avengers #54-55, 57-58. These have Ultron and Vision in them so it makes the transition from the MCU to comics easier.

2. Avengers #89-97, it’s one of the biggest events in Avengers history, i think. Alien wars, you get the picture.

3. Avengers #270-277, they basically go up against the anti-Avengers. The characters are at their strongest here.

4. The Ultimates #1-13 and the Ultimates II #1-13. It’s set in an alternate universe, they were working for the government and they all had big personal issues.

5. House of M. The events that transpired sparked off a shit storm affecting the marvel universe in such huge ways. 

6. This wasn’t going to be on here because personally, i don’t like it, but the Civil War series really focuses on the Avengers. There are a  lot of tie ins, so its probably going to be heavy reading.

7. Avengers v Xmen. I don’t like this either, and it has a lot of tie ins too, but it shows you how shitty the Avengers can be. How self righteous.
