Hi! what are your thoughts on scott summers x emma frost? vs scott x jean grey?

idk I love both of them almost equally! I really do think that Scott and jean were soulmates and they were each other’s first and true loves but I dk if you’ve read new xmen #142 by grant Morrison where there’s this specific panel and Scott’s drinking with Logan and he says that when he looks at jean he feels like a teenage boy and yet, he’s not anymore and I FELT THAT!!!! I feel that Scott x jean is very much puppy love in a lot of ways, like they grew up tgt, figured out their powers together, but at the same time they went through so much and with jean being dead constantly etc it didn’t allow their rs to develop along with their personal growths + the Phoenix Force (not to mention Scott x Madelyn). I love Scott x Emma because Emma really tempers Scott and they’re good for each other. Where Scott x jean is kinda like jean throwing fire at a wall, I feel like Scott x Emma is Emma slowly wearing that wall down, even though she herself is The Ice Queen, because she just loves Scott that much. I feel that because jean has been one w the Phoenix Force for so long, her love for him cannot be as whole as the love Emma has for him and I think that because Emma has been the one growing w him through his own changes, she’s better suited for him (I have v mixed feelings about the cheating part). I love Scott x Emma because they’re good for one another, but I also love Scott x jean because they seem like soulmates to me. I guess you can be soulmates without being romantically involved

Why would people want the Atlanteans to be people of color? They aren’t like Wakanda or Themyscira. They are literal supremacists that believe any divergence from the pure Atlantean blood are abominations and have exiled their own simply for having different hair or eye color. Who believes that purity of blood is all. Does any of that sound familiar to any of you?

Aquaman’s storyline REVOLVES around the fact that the Atlanteans refuse to accept him simply because his blood is only half-Atlantean. I don’t know about anyone else but I would rather such a society be majority white because having a society of supremacists whose culture revolve around keeping their bloodline pure be people of color is just … no, please for the love of GOD no.

This reminds me of when Koryak, Aquaman’s half-Inuit son, commented on how he didn’t feel like he belonged in Atlantis because he was brown.

(This was a very bizarre issue because here you have Koryak talk about looking different from the white Atlanteans and mentioning Lorena’s dark skin but both were whitewashed lmao. I had to recolored these panels according to how they’ve looked in other issues.)
