Recreate the famous acid burn effect featured in the 1943 classic, The Phantom of the Opera, starring Claude Rains.  This tutorial uses silicone (3rd Degree) to create the acid scarring. Everyone, look at THIS:

I’ve seen a lot of skull faces and concept Leroux!Erik art, and this comes so close to what’s in my head it’s scary.   How do I know?  Because of all the art I’ve ever looked at, even if I love it, I’ve yet to look at any of it and say “That’s it!”  I’ve never really taken the time to put down what’s in my head as far as what death’s head Erik “should” look like, but I know this is close because this clicked.  I just knew.  I can see this in the Leroux novel.  I can see it in action.  It’s shocking, but anchored.  It’s sympathetic, but scary.  It’s lovely.
