Tablo’s Dreaming Radio w Seo Chulgu, Hanhae & Incredivle pt 1

Firstly, my understanding of Korean is incredibly rudimentary so please don’t hate me if I have gotten anything wrong. If there is anything I’m unsure about, I will mark with numerous question marks (lol) and please feel free to correct me.

That being said, I do understand some Korean and finally managed to get some time to listen to this which features 2 of my favourite rappers on SMTM4 (Hanhae and Seo Chulgu)

Tablo is the biggest troll EVER. He starts of saying how he thought a lot about what song he was going to pick before he introduced the rappers, especially considering there were SO MANY hit songs that came out of SMTM4. Taking all this into mind, HE DECIDED TO PLAY Coldplay’s Fix You OMGGGG LOLLL (this was the song that played when Verbal Jint and San E eliminated Hanhae and brought Black Nut back) LOOOLLL, you can hear the boys laughing the background.

Okay, we’re like 4 sentences in and this is how Tablo introduces them. He says they’re joined by-

the person who got eliminated the coolest way, Seo Chulgu

the person who got eliminated in the most pitiful way (OMG TABLO PLS), Hanhae

 and the person who got eliminated in the most embarrassing way, Incredivle. OMG TABLO STOP my god hahaha

Tablo talks about even though they got eliminated, they did so in a really cool way. Hanhae says sheepishly: I don’t think that applies to me, Tablo really quickly: APART from Hanhae then hahaha

I couldn’t catch what Incredivle said about how close he was to the two other guys? Something about them being his hyungs?

Hanhae and Seo Chulgu don’t really know each other and didn’t really get a chance to talk to each other on the show as they’re both pretty quiet. Today they introduced themselves to each other.

Hanhae’s older than Chulgu by 2 years. Tablo says Hanhae is old LOL. He is the same age as Dok2.

Chulgu has hosted some radio shows for MBC. Tablo says the girl radio writers really like him LOL and keep saying he’s cool. He says he must be super popular (? something about being popular!) because he’s tall, good looking, and has a nice voice (I agree with all of this hahaha) and raps well- even though he didn’t get to rap to Snoop Dogg LOL.

TABLO ASKS INCREDIVLE ABOUT HIS CAR (Oppa’s Car being Incredivle’s hit song on SMTM4) 

Tablo asks Incredivle if he can drive, Incredivle: No. The other guys: FAKE MC! 

Tablo wanted Chulgu in Team YG but he wasn’t there for the cypher challenge and so didn’t know he was eliminated. When he did an interview for SMTM4 after the challenge, he was asked who he wanted and he said Chulgu straightaway. The Jinusean guys then had to tell him about it. Sad times. Tablo couldn’t believe Chulgu had been eliminated (for obvious reasons, Chulgu was clearly going to be in the top 16 had he not been eliminated early). Chulgu also says stuff about how he gave like an hour long interview but it got edited right down, Tablo makes a snarky comment about SMTM’s editing (sorry, I couldn’t really understand- a lot of hard Korean!).

They then have this segment where they take questions from listeners (I think? They take questions from people, anyway)

Q to Chulgu: if he could go back, would he still give in during the cypher challenge? Chulgu: Yes. Sorry there was a lot of hard to understand (for me!) Korean here so I’ve skipped some things. Tablo asks him as a personal question if Chulgu met Snoop Dogg on the street, would he acknowledge him? Chulgu says of course and he’d make sure to get a picture lol because he was super upset about not being able to take a picture with Snoop Dogg because he got eliminated whilst everyone else got to take one!

Q to Incredivle: WHAT’S HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HYUNA. LOOOOL. For those of you who don’t know, Hyuna posted a picture of her and Incredivle on her instagram. Incredivle starts off saying Hyuna noona and the boys rip one into him saying they must be close since he’s calling her noona LOL. Incredivle says they’re not close, he just knows her through Zico. Tablo: WHAT’S HYUNA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ZICO THEN hahahaha, Incredivle awkwardly comments that the two are close since they’re the same age, which Tablo (ofc) picks up on, Incredivle: it’s about other people so of course I feel awkward hahaha. They then get into the details of who put up the picture of Hyuna and Incredivle on instagram, Incredivle: it was Hyuna-sshi, Tablo: Oh you mean Hyuna NOONA LOL I love Dreaming Radio, I love Tablo. Tablo keeps digging him about this. 

Q to Hanhae: SO upset I couldn’t really understand this. They were talking about Verbal Jint aka change his decision Jint (they actually called him that LOL) but it was something along the lines of how Jint said something to Hanhae that got cut from editing before he cried and went to the bathroom (LOL) and he realised team Brand New had thought about their decision a lot. Hanhae says it was really stressful for him- he lost a lot of weight and lost hair.

Q to Incredivle: whilst in Team YG, what was the most memorable moment? Incredible: When they did the hidden camera because he understood how being eliminated felt. Apparently, after it happened, he kept on asking the writers how was he going to get home (because they were at a pension- a guest house at the time), writers: we’ll call a taxi of course. Tablo makes another snarky comment about Oppa’s car haha. Tablo apologises for the hidden camera. 

Q to Chulgu: I couldn’t understand sorry :(

They talk about Basick winning and Chulgu thought he was going to win from the beginning/ ages ago? something along the lines of this. 

Hanhae’s coming out with a new single called Cloud (check out his instagram, he has THE funniest promos for the song with One (that bromance), Andup (they parody his ‘fight’ with Microdot) & Ugly Duck. It’s music he wanted to do. 

Hanhae performs Man of the Year. Apparently the boys kept doing stuff and Hanhae messed up his lyrics because he was laughing at them. Tablo apologises for making him mess up his lyrics so soon after his lyrics mess up on SMTM (something that caused him a lot of pain) haha.

Verbal Jint, Phantom’s Hanhae, and After School’s Raina have released a collaborative track titled ‘Let’s Be Strange’.  Raina has collaborated with various artists in the past, especially with rappers such asSan E and Troy's Kanto, rising to becoming one of the top female vocalists to collaborate with. She's now joining hands with other Brand New Music artists like Verbal Jint and Hanhae for this new upbeat song.
