Currently sort of regretting my little gardening spree earlier.
Glad to get the actual work done, of course. But, at one point in the proceedings, I managed to klutz my way into crashing down pretty hard on the concrete floor out there. Straight onto the stump. 😬
(Since a good bit of the cause was me getting distracted, and trying to shift my weight onto a leg that is only a little over half in this physical realm. AGAIN.)
That was some immediate fun, taking most of my weight on that existing nerve damage.
But yeah, the thing is also pretty thoroughly bruised up and swollen. So, it's still screaming surprisingly loudly at my dumb ass hours later.
I did take one of my small remaining stash of tramadol (previously prescribed--and pretty effective--for the freaking nerve pain 🤨) to see if it might help, even though it usually works much better when taken regularly. Not so much that you'd notice, unless this is what it's like somewhat improved.
I've considered icing it, but at this point I do have to suspect that this might make the nerve bullshit even angrier. Cold is really not something those nerves like at the best of times.
Maybe the freakiest thing, though? It is feeling very much like I seriously fucked up Ghost Foot and its ankle. Because of course it would. 😩 Ghost Foot also has one hell of a lot of gall to keep complaining like this, after helping me fall over in the first place.
Anyway, I seriously doubt that any more real damage was done beyond the bruising. With any luck, those nerves will calm the hell down before too long. Not much to do about it besides try to distract myself and wait this shit out. I am sure not about to spend a Saturday night in stressful circumstances to get it checked out, on the off chance that they might actually do something about the pain.
Time to go and crash out with some videos, and maybe elevate the leg some.
