Sage gave a wry smile.
“Do I? Or is it perhaps the interesting moments do not leave me alone?”
Although they said that, it was rather interesting that that had now run into him more than a few times. And usually with something happening. Like today, with appearance of an eclipse.

Sage frowned, their flesh hand stopping the traveling up and down Wolf’s back from where she lay in the bed. They shrugged, almost confused why this was even a discussion given how long they’d been companions.
“Pack, tribe, surely they’re similar and I don’t need to explain why I might care for you. Or the fact that I am so frequently bedding you because it’s more than even those ties for me. I cannot help who I end up caring for, unless they’re a terrible person. Which you are not.”

"Yes."
Molly blushed, realizing immediately that was not the correct answer to an either or question.
"Both. I…my mentor is really big on my not, uh, having anything to do with people. Physically, emotionally. He said my power should be under control. But it's been better. A lot better than since he started teaching me. So, I guess I'm just worried about that."
Harry had stressed she shouldn't have sex because of her empathic power, but that seemed a really unfair stipulation to put on her when he hadn't followed that, clearly. Then again he hadn't gone into people's minds and torn them to shreds on accident. It had been the slip up of an unguided seventeen year old trying to stop her friends from cheating or drug using. It hadn't been malicious even if it had been on purpose. The folly of not knowing what you were doing.

Katniss couldn't help it, his mouth was excpetionally noticeable today. Or was she just exceptionally turned on for no reason? She couldn't tell. Either way, his lips had been distracting her the whole time he was explaining his latest painting. Every little quirk at the corner as he smiled or slight pull of his tongue had her apparently staring, and she hadn't even noticed that was what she was doing.
"Like it's my fault you're attractive," she groused at him, but she was already pulling at his shirt to pull him close enough to press her mouth to his—no pretense at being chaste, already sucking on his lower lip.
She finally broke off the kiss, then made as though to pull away.
"There. Kissed you. Happy?"

Sage nodded—the motion jerky with the effort to catch their breath, trying not to laugh in relief.
“That—well, that would make two of us,” they finally panted. The demon had been hell to deal with. How one that powerful had managed to get outside of the Fade with the Rift sealed was…concerning to say the least. Summoned, probably. But how, and by whom was the question.
Not that she was asking it right now.
“I’m fine. Knocked about, maybe some bruised ribs, but nothing lasting.”

Sage laughed, not having even opened their eyes yet but Wolf had been able to tell she was awake. One green eye opened, half lidded and staring at him.
“There is nothing to apologize for. I wanted all of it. I didn’t tell you to stop. The marks are well earned, I enjoy them. Breakfast. Please…Eventually.” Right now they were more focused on properly waking more than anything else, although it would be significantly harder to laze about here in the woods than if they had been in a proper bed.

“That’s cheating, you know,” Katniss grumbled, but her eyes hadn’t left Peeta. More precisely—hadn’t left his arms. “I can’t even tell you to go out a shirt on, you’re technically wearing one.” She picked up a cheese bun, briefly considering throwing it at him but the horrifying idea that it might be missed, hit the floor, and be wasted was too much so she simply began eating it.
“How am I supposed to go about my day when you’re like…that?”
i missed that smile of yours. (Wolf and Sage - we can do a little au offshoot thing where they're exes. As a treat xD)

Sage found herself struggling not to automatically smile at the statement. It was so very believable coming from Wolf after all. And she missed him—so very much about him.
They finally allowed a small corner of their mouth to quirk up.
“Just my smile? You’ve seen better, I’m sure. Mine doesn’t even hav fangs.”
