It's been a long while since I've poked at the Phantom Pidge AU. And I was hit with a desire for it. So, I looked for motivation and decided to go with a screenshot redraw. So here we are. I really need to rewatch the series because I don't know the context of this scene. Also, here's the original scene.

You have no idea how fun it was to draw Sam grinning like that.

Well, with a DP au, Pidge needs a clone. And who better than Pidge/Shorty from DotU/GoLion? So! Shorty will be Pidge’s clone, later adopted little brother!  Since starting this AU and doodling it, the idea had been on my mind. And it feels perfect! And now I got around to drawing them! Slightly looking at the screenshot of Danny and Dani to get a pose.  Also! Shorty’s boots totally light up when he walks/stomps his feet.

Some more Phantom Pidge doodles, this time starring Keith! He’ll have the partial role of Valerie Gray, being the ghost hunter and hunting after Pidge. For the most part his outfit is based on hers, but there are definite changes, especially the mask. I was gonna cover his head fully like hers, but I decided to leave his mullet showing because I want Lance to recognize him. “I’d recognize that mullet anywhere!”  Also, I couldn’t resist Keith and Pidge being handcuffed to each other. Sendak (the role of Skulker is my plan) capturing them, wanting to hunt them down, and holding their flour sack baby hostage? Pidge wants him double dead.

Sometimes a situation calls for Pidge needing to fly Lance and Hunk somewhere. But being so small, she has to figure out a way to do so. Thankfully, as a halfa, she’s pretty strong.  While Lance is perfectly chill playing games while on Pidge’s back, Hunk is terrified. Poor lad. He supports Pidge in her ghostly heroics, but he really hates this flying thing.

Yo, Katie Holt, she was just fourteen When her parents built a very strange machine, It was designed to view a world unseen. When it didn’t quite work, her folks, they just quit, But then Katie took a look inside of it.

Heyo, lovelies! So, the Phantom Pidge AU was still on my mind and I knew the thing I had to draw was Katie checking out the portal her parents design. And for a family of geniuses, they really have have dumb moments, huh?

I changed Katie’s from her original showing her to have pants on to a skirt; I thought it would be fun, cute, and perfect Sam vibes.

So, thinking with my VLD DP AU, I couldn’t help but imagine Pidge still figuring out her ghost powers. She can turn invisible, but she hadn’t yet figured out projecting that invisibility into what she’s holding. So, trying to sneak past her parents taking a photo (perhaps an anniversary photo or something to show their friends or whatever), she gets caught. Kind of.  Oops.

At least Katie got away with it. And her parents are too excited to notice she’s walking past with one of the cookies she stole.

So, after drawing Pidge and Shorty for the DP AU, I knew I had to draw them in human form. So! We have Katie and Hiroshi being siblings! Hiroshi is really happy to have four older siblings (Matt, Darrell, Chip, and Katie), but I think Katie may be his favourite. Don’t worry, she’s probably the favourite of the other brothers, too.
