“Be not afraid of growing slowly, be only afraid of standing still” ••••••••••••••••••••••• 1000 posts on @instagram. You can literally see my #progression here, catalogued in color and #blackandwhite. I elected not to create a business account (or activate anyways) because I feel that the art I’ve been creating is driven not by growing my business or reputation, but because I choose to do work with people, and on projects that I see myself in. Whether it’s “work” or fun, it’s all for me, and if you enjoy these visuals, it’s for you too! I really accelerated my photography back in 2014. I invested in a Nikon D3200 so I could capture the look of #portland at night, after it had rained, and the streets would shine with orange, and green, and white light. I branched into shooting #drumcorps for a summer or too. I picked up #videography and told some really fun, powerful, and exciting stories. I invested in a @djiglobal #phantom3advanced and took my vision skyward. With my “work” I’ve exhibited in art shows and won a few awards. I’ve shared unpopular opinions, and made a few #vlogs. I’ve had cameras and camera phones stolen, to instantly max out my credit card so I could get back to this thing that I love so much. I’ve upgraded, expanded, travelled, downsized, printed, processed, explored and simplified. With this post I pay a bit of homage to my original subject, the city of #portland. Man, oh man, this is just the first thousand Instagram posts. Here’s to the things we love. Heres to the things we do for our love. Here’s to telling stories. Here’s to making art. Here’s to the next thousand #IG posts. 📸🤘🏼💪🏼💁🏼♂️ . . . . . #storytelling #photogrqphy #urbanphotography #downtown #aerialphotography #dronephotography #dailydrone #travelportland #sonyalpha #sonyalphateam #discoverunder5k (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4fmy_VhkG0/?igshid=14vqld14atw6o
