Billboard takeover by BUGES BAMC and JAKE in MacArthur Park.
This shoot comes from Shikokuchuo, a city in Ehime Prefecture. It’s home to Sankakuji, Temple 65 on the Shikoku Pilgrimage route. This peaceful temple sits in the mountains and offers stunning views all year round.
These photos show Sankakuji from the sky. The drone captures how the temple blends with the forest. You can see rooftops hiding in the trees and mist swirling around them. The buildings look small from above, but their spiritual presence is strong.
Sankakuji honors Juichimen Kannon, the “Eleven-Faced” form of Kannon, a Buddhist figure of compassion. Each face represents a different emotion, helping people with all kinds of struggles. Pilgrims come here for peace and reflection.
I shoot scenes like this across Japan. Want to license or support my work? Check out my full stock portfolio on Wirestock: https://wirestock.io/shikoku4k
